Four decades of building things that last
Bergmann Group started in 1981 as a contract manufacturer of injection mold tooling. That engineering-first, build-it-right foundation is still at the center of everything the company does today. Over more than four decades, Bergmann Group has grown from a single tooling shop into a diversified manufacturer of healthcare equipment through both organic sales and carefully chosen acquisitions.
Today, Bergmann Group is the parent company of three healthcare equipment brands — Waterloo Healthcare, Phoenix LTC, and Lockevo — each serving a different corner of the healthcare market, and each built on the same manufacturing discipline the company was founded on.

Milestones
1981
Bergmann Group founded as a contract manufacturer of injection mold tooling.
2001
Waterloo Healthcare, maker of hospital procedure carts since 1969, joins Bergmann Group.
2010
Phoenix LTC is founded from scratch to serve the long-term care medication market.
2015
StatSafe automated medication dispensing is introduced within Phoenix LTC.
Today
Lockevo, the group’s newest company, extends cloud-connected security hardware to new markets.
Family-owned, second generation
Bergmann Group is a family-owned company now in its second generation of leadership. Founder John C. Bergmann led the company for 29 years before his son, John M. Bergmann, left a technology-focused career in the San Francisco Bay Area to work alongside his father and eventually take over as President. That family ownership — and the long-term thinking that comes with it — is a big part of why the company has built its brands to last.

Second-generation owner of Bergmann Group. John left a technology-focused career in the San Francisco Bay Area to join the family business and drive technology-forward products through the organization, working alongside his father before taking over as President and later CEO. He focuses on product development, market growth, and manufacturing efficiency across the group.
Kevin Mracek, President
Kevin joined Bergmann Group in January 2022. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering along with an MBA, and spent more than two decades at mid-market and Fortune 500 companies before joining the group. Kevin is focused on growth, innovation, and the customer experience across all three companies.
Drew Wildridge, VP of Finance
Drew leads financial strategy and planning across Bergmann Group, overseeing budgeting, reporting, and long-term financial planning for the company and its three brands.
Carlos Quevedo, VP of Operations
Carlos oversees manufacturing operations across Bergmann Group’s Phoenix and Nogales facilities, focused on production efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

What sets us apart
Debt-free. Bergmann Group carries no outside debt and has taken no outside investment. Growth has been funded entirely through operating cash flow.
